※ Hat & cap means here, for shade protection and cold protection.

In Japan, take off your hat & cap when eating.

Dining with a hat & cap is a violation of manner. 

However, some casual shops like food court, hamburger shop, there is no problem.

I think that there is no problem even if there is a person who is eating

with a hat & caps at a food code or a hamburger shop.

I have a habitual diet since I was little since I take off my hat & cap.

So, even if it is a casual shop such as a food cord or a hamburger shop,

I eat it after I take off my hat & cap.

In Japan, it is a good manner to take off your hat indoors.

Recently, some people have hat as fashion and do not take hats even in the room.

To such people I often have discomfort.

Even when you say a greeting, it is good manners to say hello after taking off your hat & cap.

It is good manners to take off the hat & cap during the class.

I will tell my students to take off their hats & caps.

Manners is a concern that makes people around you who do not feel bad.

How do you think and how do you act?

日本の帽子＆キャップのマナー

※帽子＆キャップとは、ここでは日除け防止や防寒用の帽子＆キャップを意味します。

日本では、食事の時には帽子を取ります。帽子を被って食事をするのはマナー違反です。

しかし、フードコート、ハンバーガーショップのようなカジュアルなお店では、あまり気にならないという人もいます。

私もフードコード、ハンバーガーショップで帽子を被って食事をしている人がいても気になりません。

私は小さい頃から両親に食事中は帽子を取ってから食べなさい。と厳しい躾をうけてきたので、

室内ではフードコード、ハンバーガーショップでも、もちろん帽子をとってから食事をします。

日本において、室内では帽子を取ることがマナーとなっています。

最近では、ファッションとして帽子を被り室内でも帽子を取らない人もいます。

そのような人達に私はしばしば違和感を持つことがあります。

挨拶をする場合も帽子を取ってから、挨拶をするのがマナーです。

授業中も帽子を取って受けるのが常識です。私は帽子を取るように生徒に話をします。

マナーとは、自分のまわりにいる人に嫌な思いをさせない気遣いです。

あなたはどのように考えて、どのように行動しますか？

多くの外国人の皆さんに日本に来て「本当の日本」を知ってもらいたいと願っています。

同じように、昔から日本人が守ってきた良いマナーを守り続けられることも願っています。

外国人の皆さん、日本のマナーを守って、日本での滞在を楽しんでください。

もちろん、日本人の中にもマナーが悪い人がたくさんいることを理解しています。

そして、外国人の中には、日本人よりも日本のマナーを良く知っている方も多くいることも理解しています。
